SCENE ONE-

--NOTES- THIS SCENE WAS BETTER UNPERFORMED THAN PERFORMED. DOES THAT MEAN THAT IT STOPS BEING A SCRIPT. A NON SCRIPT? WHATS A NON SCRIPT- A NON DIRECTION? MAYBE OUR SCRIPT SHOULD BE NON- DIRECTIONAL. AN IMPROVISATION? BUT WE DON'T WANT A PERSON TO IMPROVISE? CAN A FILM IMPROVISE ITSELF? YES OFCOURSE IT CAN? WE CAN ASK IT NICELY.

(We enter the bedroom of a young woman, She sits reading a red book, lounging on her couch in a red dressing gown. Perhaps she’s eating something. Like grapes. Or sucking a lollypop. Whatever it is it adds to a sense of luxury, Arrogance and boredom)

(she turns coily into the camera- breaking the fourth wall in a matter of seconds- there is still a level of voyerism from the camera. But its changed as it is now wanted. She knows you are there- and wants an audience).

An Auto-Erotic text-

“I want to surpass the body, to surpass labour
..this room

death by misadventure

(looks to phone)

did you know?

(she can be seen later reading book sexuality and class struggle)
(subtitled) (Narcissism and the genital facade)

The idealised type of the ‘bourgeois individual’ has a strong ego, A firm established base from which to send his libido.

due to his contracted idea of “post-poned gratification”-
that is- we read to learn not for readings sake, we educate to gain a better job, we love elderly relatives for our inheritance-
and especially no “buy now pay later for the bourgeois”

in todays age it seems to have undergone a permanent shift

uncontrolled gratification leading to manipulation, unhealthy fixation, the state preferring a guise of freedom. A feelingless encouraged perversion.

Quite often without being aware of it, they are doomed to remain in a state of permanent sexual tension.”

(character winks)
How do you produce a film with no actors? Honest answers please at- grace.emma.t@gmail.com
SCENE THREE-

NOTES- THIS SCENE WILL NEVER HAPPEN BECAUSE WE DON'T WANT TO SHOW PEOPLE ANYTHING. WE DON'T WANT TO MAKE THEM WATCH ANYTHING. THAT'S WHY YOU ARENT WATCHING THIS. HOW CAN WE MAKE A MOVIE WITHOUT SHOWING YOU SOMETHING? I'D STILL KIND OF LIKE TO TELL SOMETHING. ARE SEEING AND TELLING THE SAME?

(The young woman is sitting infront of a screen. Eating popcorn dipped into butter and sugar. it is some kind of radical, political message. She watches the movie in a trance like state, with head tilted to the side).

(You see her the next morning- dressed in somewhat ridiculous attire- dressed up in a fur coat).

(She walks across berlin… she stands infront of the large soviet buildings.)

(She sits on the transport reading a book of significance (something politically charged or erotic).

(She gets off at neukölln, neukölln is filmed for a little while. It seems like a very long journey across berlin.)

(She goes into an industrial carpark in neukölln. There is a statue of lenin standing outside. She goes up to lenin, plants a kiss on his cheek and gives him a christmas card.)
"Directing yourself really is rather boring."
"We love the script! we love the script!"
"Do we even need the script?"
"Kill the script"
"It must follow a linear structure"
"There is no order"
"We should just start filming"
"Lets have me playing all the roles"
"We should have lots of actors"
"It needs to be genuine"
"It should be ridiculous"
We're making a movie.
We say it each day looking at each other in confidence. We are for sure making a movie.

But the problem is the movie so far- only shows a real impotence towards filming. We sit as if "hollywood" Film producers waiting for the budget to be reached... the roles to be filled...the Camera man to choose his angle. The really unfortunate thing here is we both know very well that there is never going to be a budget- right now no actors. We sit pleasantly with the idea that we will make a movie but can't just yet. The problem is we have to make a movie. So we let the movie make herself, we shut up and start filming. I start youtubing acting classes; we buy a camera.
"We should film the same thing again and again"
"Are you still awake? Can we talk about the film?"
"Lets stick to the character"
"I'm starting to hate the character"
"Did we even write this?"
"You don't look like an idiot i promise"
